Martinique was chosen for the 24th World Conference of Mayors in honor of the late Aimé Césaire. This exceptional event of the meeting of mayors from around the world will also be the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human rights and commemorate the 40th anniversary of the leegacy of Martin Luther King.
